Sick?

Micah is 'sick' today. I say sick in quotations because at 2 1/2 she already has an 'I'm sick' routine. It goes something like this: she pathetically says (while looking wimpy), 'Mommy, I'm sick...' I say, 'What's wrong?' She says, 'My tummy hurts.' After a little interrogation on my part the hurt spot changes from tummy to elbow to butt to back to forehead. I say, 'Well, if you're sick, I guess you don't have to go to school today.' Then, she perks up excitedly and exclaims, 'Can we go shopping?!??!?' Ohhhhh, Micah. You're so cute it's unbelievable. Although, what's cute at 2 1/2 isn't cute at 14... I have a feeling I have trouble on my hands. 

So, I'm out of the office. Danielle will be around if you need anything.

I am back with some pictures! Apparently I was in a very black and white mood when I picked pictures for this post, so forgive me for the lack of color on this one. 

OH, and a little story that I think is cool- Zach's grandfather was a witness at my Orsag grandparents wedding. Zach's dad, Junior, was a groomsman at my parents wedding, and I was the photographer at his wedding! Cool, right?

I loooooved the spot light that was used for their first dances; it made the most amazingly dramatic light.

One for Nate, Kara and Troy. You're on the blog. So shut up. :) And there's Matt, too... Looks like everyone was having a great time while I was WORKING. Yes, I'm jealous. 

Manic Monday #5

Things I know:

• Micah is the smartest kid in the entire world. And the prettiest. And the funniest. And the best. Ever. :)
• I have a constant desire to be more and to have more and it never stops. Sometimes I just wish it would stop.
• The desire to be more and want more takes a nice chunk out of my bank account. 
• Family is the most important thing in the world. You never realize how important someone was until they are gone. 
• Laughing makes everything better. Laugh at yourself, laugh with your friends. Just laugh. I hear it burns calories. 
• I can't do everything. 
• I take on too much. 
• I put too much pressure on myself to be perfect. 
• I base too much of my self worth on the approval of others.
• I get in funks, and when the funks come I like to sleep- a lot.
• Sweeping sucks. And so does mopping. 
• God is amazing (posted under 'things I know', but should probably be posted under 'things I forget'.)
• Time passes by too quickly.
• If had ever had the foresight to have chosen the qualities of the perfect man for myself, the 'perfect man' wouldn't have been very much like Matt. Which just goes to show that I don't know myself very well, and that God is in fact amazing.
• My life couldn't function at this point with out Danielle. Sometimes you need someone to lean on. Although, we're more like Bubba and Forrest - 'I'll lean right back against you, you just lean right back against me... that way we won't have to sleep with our heads in the mud.'

Things I wish:

• That I could learn to say no.
• That I could lose 20 lbs. by tomorrow morning.
• That cancer didn't exist. Or death. Or Tacos. Or Starbucks. Or Zing Zang.
• That tiny magic elves would come and clean my house by tomorrow morning. 
• That the same tiny magic elves would come and edit all my pictures to my specifications and blog them...by tomorrow morning.
• That I could go to Vegas. By tomorrow morning. ;)
• That I could do something with all the flicking personal pictures that are backed up since July. One day Micah will tell her therapist about me. I know it.

Things I need:

• nothing. (also a thing I need to remember next time I'm at Ikea.)

Things I like:

• Tacos
• Starbucks
• Zing Zang
• Elvis
• Pretzel Flips
• Olives

Things I hate:

• Blogging. But only sometimes... I just hate when it feels like a chore.
• Slow drivers
• New potatoes
• Golden Corral
• The movie title- How She Move. WHAT IN THE WORLD is that??
• When you're on a diet, and you're so hungry that you're about to start chewing on your arm, and LO AND BEHOLD, a flicking PIZZA HUT commercial comes on. Just happened. I almost licked the TV screen.

Okay. The hunger made my brain quit. Posts with actual PICTURES tomorrow! You're excited, I know it.... :) Thanks for reading my nonsense. MUCH LOVE.
